Remembering Conor on His 21st Birthday: Conor Lynch Memorial Scholarship Fund

Conor would have turned 21 today, August 19th. But on October 19, 2010, when he was just 16, Conor was killed by an 18-year-old hit-and-run driver. The driver of the car that hit and killed Conor was both unlicensed and driving distracted.

Today at the Conor Lynch Foundation, we remember Conor and celebrate his memory. He was an athlete, a rising leader – but more than that, Conor was a son and brother who was dearly loved.

In Conor’s honor and in celebration of his life, we are announcing the launch of the Conor Lynch Memorial Scholarship. The $1500 scholarship, awarded in partnership with the National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS), will recognize a youth between the ages of 16-21 who has demonstrated making a positive impact in their community through service, mentoring, and/or activism. Click here to learn more about the scholarship and to apply.

Applications will be reviewed by a committee, with the awardee selected by the Conor Lynch Foundation. The scholarship winner will be publicly announced at the 5th Annual 5K Run/Walk and Expo In Honor of Conor (Sherman Oaks, CA), with online announcements made concurrently at NOYS.org and inhonorofconor.org.

We invite you to register and join us at the 5K Run/Walk and share this scholarship opportunity with the youth leaders you know and love. Together we will honor Conor and celebrate his 21st birthday.

Rest In Paradise Conor.
